CARP SYNDICATE IN KENT
Beautiful, quiet, little fished syndicate with 6 50lb+ English carp including one of 61-04 – and they’re not yet fully-grown!
On a beautiful Kent nature reserve and a long way from any major road. The loudest noise is usually birdsong.
Little fished gravel pit – only 30 members on 15 acres.
Wingham is an extremely rich water, and was lightly stocked with the fastest growing 3 year old carp in their year class. What’s more, all the carp are British!

Our first 30lber was caught at just 7 years of age. This was possibly the youngest ever 30lb English carp at the time.
There’s now a lot of 30lbers, with more than half of the carp caught being over this weight. Almost half of the many 40lbers are commons, with 6 of these (2 mirrors and 4 commons) having already reached 50lbs+, including a common of 59-08 and a mirror of 61-04.

To avoid overbreeding and keep growth rates up, in some years the few small carp caught (those under 20lbs) have been removed as caught. However all carp are again being returned to allow a greater number of fish to come through.
Indeed, several carp born at Wingham have already reached 50lbs including the 59-08 common and the 61-04 mirror.
These high growth rates are a direct result of the very low fishing pressure. This is the key difference between Wingham and most other waters.
There’s never been any supplementary feeding, and with hardly any bait going into Wingham the fish have grown very big thanks to the huge amount of natural food.
The only species in the lake are carp, pike and the odd big eel (to 5-10), so almost every take is from a big carp.
Clubhouse with kitchen, lounge, bait room, toilets and shower. Secure car parking.
4 rod limit in Winter, 3 rod limit in Summer. No pike fishing.
The mysterious 40 acre Main Lake syndicate also contains very big carp indeed but has been even less fished, having only just been fully opened to carp anglers. The average age is even younger than in the Carp Lake but it’s already produced a lot of 40s including 2 different 50s up to 57-10. Many expect it to surpass even the Carp Lake in a few years! NO DAY TICKETS, SYNDICATE FISHING ONLY
Following a change of ownership (that thankfully saved the site from development) we’ve unfortunately had a big rent increase. We’ve also just completed high spec otter fencing, and this big expense has regrettably meant that we’ve had to put the subs up.
To allow those with limited budgets to enjoy Wingham the season for both syndicates is therefore now divided into 3 periods of 4 months.
Syndicate members may choose to fish for 4, 8 or 12 months of the year, and/or to split their fishing between the Main Lake and Carp Lake syndicates. Current prices are:
Winter period (Nov 15th – Mar 14th) £480 incl vat
Early period (Mar 15th – July 14th) £1400 incl vat
Late period (July 15th – Nov 14th) £900 incl vat
Discounted 12 month ticket £2375 incl vat
Joining fee £290 incl vat. There’s no further joining fee if you increase the number of periods, or if you join the Main Lake Coarse & Carp syndicate.
Credit/debit cards accepted via PayPal.
Places on the 15 acre Carp Lake syndicate are limited to just 30, and there is a waiting list.
THERE IS A WAITING LIST FOR BOTH SYNDICATES.
