Huge Perch Catch

Almost none of the syndicate fishes for the perch at Wingham these days, and in fact almost nobody uses worm. However Stephen Daly did so on his first trip of the season.

And what a catch he had! The first day he had 70 to 80 perch, all over 1 1/2lbs topped by a specimen of 3-01. Additionally he landed 11 tench. The vast majority came in the morning before the sun came out.

The second morning he added another 33 perch; although most of them were smaller he did have another 2 just over 3lbs plus 4 more tench. He packed up mid-morning only because he ran out of bait, having fed heavily with lobs, dendras, redworms and red maggots.
